Registrations are now open for the Brazilian Robotics Competition, one of the largest university events in Latin America, organized by RoboCup Brazil. The event will occur from October 7th to 12th at the Salvador Convention Center in Salvador, Bahia. Registration is open starting from June 28th, 2023, and can be done through the website: https://olimpo.robocup.org.br/.
The Brazilian Robotics Competition (CBR) stands out as one of the major university events in Latin America, bringing together students, researchers, and professionals in the field. The competition is divided into categories, where autonomous robots must perform tasks without any human intervention. Some categories simulate everyday tasks, such as the AtHome category, where robots must clean a house and take out the trash, for example. But there are also elimination-style competitions, like robot soccer categories, or point-based races like Humanoid Robot Racing.
Teams consisting of university students, postgraduates, or researchers in the fields of robotics, engineering, or related areas from all over Brazil can participate. The goal is to showcase and promote the studies and technologies developed by universities in the field of robotics.
CBR is part of the Robótica event, which also includes the national finals of the Brazilian Robotics Olympiad and the National Robotics Exhibition. Additionally, the following meetings will be held during the event:
- XV Brazilian Robotics Symposium
- XIV Educational Robotics Workshop
- Robotics Theses and Dissertations Workshop
- Robotics Theses and Dissertations Contest
- IEEE Latin American Robotics Symposium
All the rules and challenges for each category are available on our website. Some categories will also offer hybrid challenges, allowing teams to participate remotely when necessary.
The event will occur from October 07th to 12th at the Salvador Convention Center in Salvador, Bahia. Admission is free for the general public, and over ten thousand people are expected at the event.
